3rd newsletter of the EU-EECA Cluster

The 3rd issue of the EU-EECA Cluster newsletter is fully dedicated to the Clusters activities during the most visible European ICT event - ICT2010
Dear Colleagues,
Many of you have already had the opportunity to interact with the EU-EECA ICT cluster, taking advantage of our various support services, and we are happy to see that the number of ICT specialists involved in the projects’ activities is regularly growing.
The 3rd issue of the EU-EECA Cluster newsletter is fully dedicated to the Cluster’s activities during the most visible European ICT event - ICT2010  - and we, the coordinators of three clustering projects - ISTOK-SOYUZ, SCUBE-ICT and EXTEND - are pleased to welcome you again to the pages of our third joint newsletter.

There you will find:

  • ICT 2010 – overview. This biennial event is the largest in Europe gathering more than 5000 researchers, innovators and influencers who hold the future of ICT in their hands.The ICT 2010 event was the place to discover Europe’s exciting and groundbreaking developments in ICT.
  • EECA ICT internal call to support EECA ICT leaders to participate in the ICT2010. The aim of the call was to identify about 50 R&D specialists with the strongest ICT collaboration potential from EECA countries which are motivated to participate in the ICT 2010, and to provide them with personalized support in order to increase the number of ICT partnerships with ICT researchers from European Union under FP7. 
  • Information about the information stand “EECA ICT: ICT cooperation with Eastern Europe, Southern Caucasus, and Central Asia“, Organisation of a networking Session "Thinking across borders – (Re) discover ICT cooperation potential with East Europe & Central Asia and Western Balkan countries"
  • FP7 ICT Work Programme 2011-2012. ICT2010 participants from EECA countries give their personal impression about this event. Provides additional detail of the implementation of the specific programme, setting out information on the priorities, objectives and policy relevance of the research topics which will be implemented through calls for proposals in the latter half of 2010 and until 2012.
