Materials of Infoday "ICT in HORIZON 2020", Kyiv, Ukraine, 23rd May 2013


ICT Research and Innovation in Horizon 2020 - Eastern Partnership (EaP) Information Day took place in Kyiv, Ukraine on the 23rd of May 2013. Jointly organised by DG CONNECT (EC), Ukrainian State agency on science, innovations and informatization, Ukrainian ICT NCPs, National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and PICTURE project (FP7), the event was attended by more than 140 participants, in majority EaP ICT stakeholders.
Supported by the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Platform IV, and the Multilateral Part of the European Neigborhood Policy Instrument (ENPI), it aimed at helping participants to better understand the role of ICT in Horizon 2020,  to exchange experience of participation of EaP countries in FP7, and to present ICT research priorities in Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries based on the findings of the project PICTURE and the pilot actions of the project planned for 2013-2014.
 
The info-day speakers promoted Horizon2020 priorities and ICT 2013 in Vilnius, delivered a successful discussion panel that allowed to formulate a number of suggestions from EaP community to the EC and clearly demonstrated adequancy of  most EaP ICT priotities to the Horizon2020 priorities. Synergies with research infrastructure communities (CEENGINE) also contributed to high level of attendance and interest expressed to the event.
